The St. Bernard Wetlands Foundation, Inc., was founded in 1993 to preserve, protect, enhance, and restore the wetlands and contiguous lands of St. Bernard Parish.

The Foundation has led the effort to inform the nation that it's not just OUR wetlands, it's AMERICA'S WETLANDS we are trying to save. The wetlands loss in St. Bernard Parish and the other coastal parishes of Louisiana affects the entire nation.

St. Bernard Wetlands Foundation has instituted restorative marsh planting in St. Bernard Parish that is helping return precious land to the Louisiana coast.

Planting trees helps to restore the coastline and provide protection from coastal erosion. The Foundation has a nursery growing hundreds of saplings in preparation for planting.
